The mind is the forerunner of all actions.

Arouse the mind without dwelling anywhere.

Form is emptiness,

Health is the highest gain,

Cultivate a mind of boundless love

Do not look at the faults of others,

Mind is the Buddha, and the Buddha is mind.

A long journey begins with a single step.

Because beings are ill, I too am ill.

Flowing water cannot be stopped,

Like a lion that is not startled by sounds,

The past mind cannot be grasped,

We live so happily,

The true nature of all things is emptiness:

The mind, wavering and unsteady,

Within a single particle of dust

Hatred is never appeased by hatred in this world.

May all living beings be happy,

Better than a thousand meaningless words

Silence is like the roar of thunder.

Overcome anger with love,

All conditioned things

What use is it to speak many words

The very mind that first aspired to awakening

A lotus flower blooms in the mud

Neither too much nor too little —

You yourself are your own master.

With no hindrance in the mind,

Know that this body is like foam.

Even in a single tree, a single blade of grass,

Of all paths, the Eightfold Path is supreme;

Hatred is never appeased by hatred in this world.

The very mind that first aspired to awakening

Whether standing, walking, sitting or lying down,

A bodhisattva should perform acts of giving

Having illuminated that all five aggregates are empty,

Find a person who points out your faults,

07

Affliction is none other than enlightenment.

All sentient beings have wisdom and virtue.

The mind is restless and unsteady,

10

There is no fixed dharma

11

The wise one has neither greed nor foolishness.

No eye, no ear, no nose, no tongue,

Though one might conquer a million men in battle,

14

Karma follows like a shadow.

A single bowl of fragrant rice

If someone perceives me through form,

Even in darkness, see the light;

One who quarrels in the world,

There is no suffering, no origin of suffering,

Meeting a good spiritual friend

The past has already gone,

The Tathagata cannot be seen

See sentient beings without the thought of 'sentient beings';

Neither clinging inwardly,

25

Not by much talking is the Dharma known.

This is the great mantra,

When the mind is pure, the land is pure;

28

Like a leaky boat,

The Tathagata comes from nowhere

30

Like a lotus blooming from the mud,

31

One who is broadly learned, who upholds the Dharma,
